An active trail association ensures well-groomed trails, which connect to the trail network at Gaustablikk when there's enough snow over the mountain. In the 2020-2021 winter season, Flugonfjell ski center opened, to the delight of young and old alike.

Fikstjønn offers a truly special location. The landowner has made a deliberate effort to place every plot at its own elevation in the terrain. Every cabin its own knoll! Here, the expression takes on a literal meaning. All the plots enjoy fantastic views. Locals say Tuddal has the most beautiful view of Gaustatoppen in the whole region. From Fikstjønn Tuddal, there are countless opportunities for an active lifestyle. Miles and miles of ski trails await. Why not hike up to Gausta? It makes for a perfect day trip, perhaps with an overnight stay at Gaustablikk, before warming up and heading home after a good night's sleep and a proper meal. In summer, there are plenty of hiking options, both on mountain peaks and through forest terrain. Tuddal is located just 2 hours and 30 minutes by car from Oslo, or 1 hour and 45 minutes from Kongsberg.
From Oslo, 160 km: Take the E18 towards Drammen, then exit onto the E134 towards Kongsberg. Continue on the E134 through Kongsberg and onward past Notodden, and after 20.7 km from Notodden at Sauland, turn right onto Tuddalsveien. Drive approximately 21 km until you reach Tuddal Church, then turn left onto county road 3428 and continue for about 6.1 km until you see the sign and the road leading into the development on your right.

The plots
Fikstjønn in Tuddal is situated on the sunny side of Gaustatoppen (1,883 m above sea level), in one of Telemark's most classic recreational areas. The landowner has been deliberate in ensuring every plot has its own vantage point, quite literally, "every cabin its own knoll." The plots are positioned at varying elevations across the terrain, and according to locals, Tuddal boasts the most beautiful view of Gaustatoppen in the entire region.
The plots at Fikstjønn are generously sized, ranging from one mål up to 3.2 mål. This ensures plenty of space around each cabin, giving you the sense of freedom you're looking for up in the mountains.
